Your path to the growing plan:

• 1. Growing areas: Create your growing areas.
• 2. Plants: Select and customize your plants.
• 3. Crop planning: Auto-plan or plan it yourself?

Goal:

Your goal is to choose plants you'd like to grow. Then you adapt them to your needs, variety-specific characteristics, and climatic conditions.

Why is that important?

In short: Your growing plans (this also includes the schedule, planting breaks, and much more) become more accurate the more thoroughly you customize and maintain your plants (records) in this step. The templates you'll find here are filled with general properties designed for the climate in central Germany. You can use this “base” if the topic is still very new to you. However, adapting it to your situation is an important part. Maintaining these plant properties enables you to create a very precise growing plan tailored only to you.

How it works:

• 1) Choose your plants - from the templates:
  Look around and click “Select” when you find a plant you'd like to grow.

  This shows you how many plants of this plant species you've already saved under “My plants”.
  (This is for overview, in case you want to create multiple varieties of one plant species.)

• 2) Customize properties:
  
  To change a plant's properties, go to “My plants”, click the burger menu, and select “Edit”.
  (Save your changes once you're done.)

  To see more explanations for the properties, go to “My plants”, click the burger menu of a plant, select “Edit”, and click the question mark.


• Paths: When creating or editing your growing area, decide whether paths should be created between the sub-areas. Paths improve access, but reduce the usable growing area. The path width is subtracted from the total width and distributed across the sub-areas.

Sorting function:

• Sort alphabetically by plant species.
  
  With a click on this button, you can sort your plant cards alphabetically by plant species. Clicking again sorts them in reverse alphabetical order. The sorting is not saved permanently.

• Create and save your own sorting:
  
  With a click on this button, you activate manual sorting. Here you can change the order as you like or also determine it by plant species. After saving, your plants are always displayed in this order.
